How To Spray Paint Cladding And Corrugated Metals?

    HenryBy HenryMarch 12, 2024No Comments3 Mins Read

Spray painting works wonders on surfaces made of corrugated and cladded metal. These types of surfaces probably have crevices, nooks, and corners that are difficult to reach out to with a standard paintbrush. You can ensure that all areas are covered with a nice, even finish by using a paint sprayer. You’ll even look more put together and save time with it! You are also not limited to choosing a sombre colour. Bright colours are a great way to add personality to your property. Only the appropriate tools will do!

    Prep and prime

Ensure your surface is prepared for the paint before applying coloured topcoats. You can achieve a finish that is harder to wear and lasts longer, using a quality primer. Although it is not necessary for areas that have already been coated with Plastisol, we advise applying Rust-Oleum Mathys Metal Cladding Primer to any exposed metal surfaces first. This is good practice that will only enhance the job and the performance in the long term. Even after metal cladding has weathered, it can still be coated with this water-dissolving coating to help prevent further oxidation! This high-tech primer provides optimal protection for metal cladding as well as other surfaces such as bare, blasted, galvanized, zinc, and aluminum. After just one hour, you will be able to paint over this primer because of how quickly it dries! After drying, your cladding’s lifespan can be increased by 10 years, making this an affordable fix.

    Protective finish

You should start painting as soon as the surface has been thoroughly primed. If you apply the incorrect paint on metal, it will soon flake, bubble, or crack and the paint will start to peel off the metal. Not appealing right!

Consider applying Mathys Metal Cladding Topcoat by Rust-Oleum. Together with the primer we just discussed, this topcoat ensures a fantastic finished appearance. The updated recipe will extend the life of both the primer and your cladding. With the range of colors available, you can express your creativity and even go bold.

You can get an even finish on your corrugated metal or cladding by using a spray painter, which will also catch all those areas that can be challenging to miss. Your surface will look brand new as soon as you prime it and apply a high-quality topcoat.

It can be applied directly to exterior Plastisol wall cladding surfaces that are in good condition because of Rust-Oleum’s new improvised formula for the Metal Cladding Topcoat, which has higher hiding and filling power, better flow out, colour and gloss stability, and high durability. This offers a very economical way to paint cladding when a rejuvenation coat  or a simple colour change is all that’s needed.

It’s time to start painting now! Ask the professionals at Promain for assistance if you need it with spray painting or metal cladding paint.
